Our Courtesy Loaner Program keeps you moving
Segway New Zealand has a fleet of Segway PT PowerBases (the platform you stand on, including the wheels) available for loan or hire. In the event that we are unable to resolve an issue promptly we offer the free loan of courtesy PowerBase to keep owners of Segway products that are under warranty moving. Simply attach your LeanSteer Frame (i2/x2) or Handlebar (HT/XT/GT) together with your Batteries to our Loaner PowerBase and you'll be moving again.

Our courtesy fleet consists of one PowerBase for i2 owners, one PowerBase for x2 owners, one PowerBase for HT i167/170/180/GT owners, and one PowerBase for XT owners. These are available on a first-come basis.

For owners of Segway products not covered by warranty, a hire charge applies to all PowerBases. Freight charges for delivery and return apply to all out-of-warranty loans, or you can collect from Segway New Zealand..

Borrow Nickel (NiMH) Batteries when you fly
If you own a first-generation Segway PT (i167/170/180/XT/GT) model fitted with Lithium batteries and you wish to take it with you on a flight within New Zealand or overseas, we can lend you Nickel (NiMH) batteries for free for up to 3 weeks. Second generation Segway PTs are not compatible with Nickel batteries, but if you wish to take your PT with you without batteries when you travel we can assist with arranging the hire of Lithium batteries once you arrive at your destination.
