This week Segway New Zealand was awarded a Best Performance award for 2009, at the Segway Asia-Pacific (APAC) conference in Singapore. Despite a world recession and difficult trading conditions between mid 2008 through to the end of 2009, Segway NZ achieved remarkable results, resulting in our country remaining the regional leader in Segway PT ownership per capita. At about 1 PT per 16,000 people NZ ranks close to the highest in the world, even before normalising for GDP. Across the Tasman, new distributor Simply Moving Australia achieved that country's highest yearly sales ever, and their state Dealers were similarly awarded for their outstanding success.
