SegWai launches Segway Tours on Waiheke Island
New Zealand's newest Segway Tour has launched on Auckland's beautiful Waiheke Island. SegWai offers guided tours to the public, and Segway PT-based group activities to corporate and private groups. There are two different tour routes to choose from (90 minutes, 120 minutes), each offering its own unique set of views from some of the island's best look-out points, routes via pretty bays and beaches, journeys along native bush trails and dusty tracks, and excursions through olive groves and the vines of famous vineyards. SegWai is also a mobile service, so corporate and other groups can have Segway-based 'breakout sessions' of games and challenges brought right to wherever they are based on the island. SegWai partners with other great activities on the island, including EcoZip, Destination Waiheke and Cable Bay Vineyard - so you can do it all in one location if you wish.
Private group bookings are welcomed for weddings, hens/bucks parties, and birthdays.
SegWai founders Andrew and Claire Lanyon began planning their new business while still living in Australia, and moved to New Zealand last year. They are excited to be bringing this exciting eco-activity to the island for both visitors and locals to enjoy. They selected the rugged new Segway x2 SE model for their business. The quiet, zero-emission Segway x2 SE features large, low-pressure, high-traction tyres that provide environmentally-friendly, cross-terrain performance that is perfect for island conditions.
