TT Zero 2012 on Isle of Man

There will be a clean emissions race at next year's Isle of Man TT, and Segway Racing is already the favourite following spectacular success in 2011. It will be the fourth year the TT Zero contest has been staged, as part of the world's oldest and most famous motorcycle championship. TT Zero will take place on Wednesday, June 6. The Isle of Man Government has put up a prize of £10,000 for the first 'green' bike to lap the mountain course at an average speed above 100mph. Last year, Michael Rutter narrowly missed the landmark when riding for the American based Segway Racing MotoCzysz. He was around five seconds shy when he set a new record for the class at 99.604mph.
